It was 2019 when I was new to blogging I thought that just writing content and publishing it will drive traffic to my website but I was wrong.

So coming back to the point how I will setup a Google Search Console account for WordPress?
So lets jump on the detailed step on How to setup Google Search Console for WordPress;
Step 1: Go to Google Search Console website, and click on Start Now
Step 2: Now you will come to the Google Search Console setup page.
Add the URL of the website for which you want to create a Google Search Console account in the URL prefix section and click continue.
Step 3: Now Google Search Console wants the website ownership verification.
For the verification click on the HTML tag in Fig: 1 and copy the HTML Tag in Fig: 2.
Step 4: Now Go to your WordPress Dashboard -> Drag the mouse on Rank Math -> Click on General Settings.
If you haven’t installed Rank Math SEO Plugin then I would suggest you install and activate this plugin it is the best SEO plugin in WordPress.
Now in General settings, Go to webmaster Tools.
Now in the Google Search Console option in Fig: 1 paste the HTML Tag you have copied and click save changes in Fig: 2
Now go to the Setup page and Click on Verify.
You will see that your website verification has been completed.
Step 5: Your account has been created now you need to create a sitemap for your website.
For this Go to sitemap option in the left side-menu.
Now in this ‘Add a new sitemap’ option you would get a blank area, type sitemap_index.xml, and click on Submit.
Once you click on submit you would see that the sitemap has been submitted and after a reload it will show you the success message instead of couldn’t fetch.
Step 6: Now its time to index the URL of your website.
Go to Overview and you can see an option inspect any URL click on it and paste your website’s URL and click enter of your Keyboard.
Now Google Search Console find the data in Google Index.
Now Google Search Console will inform that URL is not on Google. So click on request indexing, your request will be submitted and Indexed.
Likewise, whenever you publish a post, copy the post URL and request indexing on Google just following this same step.
Congo! you have successfully created a Google Search Console account and now your website will appear on search results.

And now we can easily track our Organic search traffic that are coming from Google.
