So let’s jump on the detailed step on How to setup Google Analytics for Blogger website;
Step 1: Go to the Google Analytics website, and click on Start measuring.
Step 2: Now you will come to the setup Page.
In the Account Setup option fill the account details i.e Account name and check all the tick boxes in the Data sharing settings.
And then Click Next
Step 3: Now you’ll need to do Property setup.
Fill in the property details;
- Property name,
- Reporting Time, and
Then click on the Advance option and Enable the Create a Universal Analytics property.
Now enter your blogger website domain name choosing HTTPS://, and choose to Create a Universal Analytics property only.
The reason behind choosing this option because it is specifically made for analyzing website traffic in more detail than the first option.
Now click on Next.
Step 4: Now Setup About your business
By choosing your;
- Industry category,
- Business Size, and
- Your intent to use Google Analytics
Now click on Create.
Now you need to accept the Terms of Google Analytics, select both the Agreement and click on I Accept.
So your Google Analytics account has been created.
Step 5: Once you created your account, you will be sent to your account’s Admin panel.
There you would get a tracking ID and tracking code, copy the ID, and Code.
Firstly, Go to your Blogger Dashboard -> Go to settings -> Click on Google Analytics Property ID -> Paste the Tracking ID -> Click Save.
Secondly, Go to Blogger Dashboard -> Go to Themes -> Click on the Drop-Down arrow in the Orange Box -> Click on Edit HTML
Once you enter, paste the Tracking Code just below the head tag ‘<head>’ and click save.
Step 6: After completing all the settings, visit your website and Go to the Homepage of your Google Analytics account (Reload both).
You would see a real-time user on your site.
This means Google Analytics can track your website traffic easily.
